Intellectual property

All site content (text, images, visuals, game logic) is the exclusive property of Embercraft. Any reproduction without authorization is prohibited.

1. Purpose

Embercraft is a free online strategy game accessible from a web browser. These terms govern the use of the service as well as the purchase of virtual goods within the game. By creating an account or making a purchase, you accept these terms without reservation.

2. Access to the service

The game is accessible free of charge. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. Registration is reserved for persons aged at least 16. Minors must obtain authorization from their legal guardian before any purchase.

3. Virtual goods (Premium Gold)

Embercraft offers for sale a virtual currency called "Premium Gold". This currency is intended for exclusive use within the game (quality-of-life features and cosmetic items). It has the following characteristics:

• It has no real monetary value and may under no circumstances be converted, exchanged or withdrawn for real money.
• It involves no element of chance: no lottery, no random chest ("loot box"), no random reward. The content of each purchase is known and described before payment.
• It is delivered instantly to your account after payment confirmation.
• It constitutes a personal, non-transferable usage license, and not a property right.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in euros. VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French General Tax Code (VAT exemption scheme). Payment is processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Limited; no banking data is collected or stored by Embercraft. The order is confirmed once payment is validated by the provider.

5. Player conduct

It is forbidden to cheat, exploit flaws, use bots or automated scripts, harass other players or make unlawful statements. Any breach may result in suspension or deletion of the account, without refund of acquired virtual goods.

6. Availability and liability

Embercraft is provided "as is". We strive to ensure the availability of the service but do not guarantee complete absence of interruption (maintenance, technical incident). We cannot be held liable for the loss of game data beyond our control.

7. Modification and termination

We reserve the right to evolve the game, its rules and its balancing. You may delete your account at any time from the settings. We may terminate an account in the event of a violation of these terms.

8. Governing law

These terms are subject to French law and the European regulations in force.

1. Right of withdrawal (14 days)

In accordance with European consumer law, you generally have a period of 14 days from your purchase to exercise your right of withdrawal.

2. Waiver for digital content

Premium Gold is digital content supplied without a tangible medium and credited immediately after payment. Before each purchase, a dedicated checkbox allows you to expressly request that supply begin before the withdrawal period ends and to acknowledge that you lose this right once the Gold is credited, in accordance with Article L221-28(13) of the French Consumer Code.

After this consent and the crediting of Gold, the order is final and non-refundable for a simple change of mind, whether or not the Gold is later spent, subject to the mandatory legal rights listed below.

3. Cases eligible for a refund

The exclusion above does not limit your mandatory legal rights. A correction, renewed delivery or, where required by law, a refund remains possible in particular in the following situations:

• The purchased Gold was not credited, was credited in the wrong amount or is not in conformity with the contract;
• A technical error caused a duplicate charge;
• An unauthorized transaction was duly reported.

4. How to request a refund

For any request, contact us via the Contact page, specifying your account email address and the transaction reference. We process each request within 14 days. Eligible refunds are made via the same payment method as the original purchase.

1. Data collected

When you register, we collect:

• Your email address (login identifier)
• Game data: lord name, villages, buildings, troops, resources, in-game messages
• If logging in via Google: your email address transmitted by Google
• Your IP address at the time of registration, for fraud prevention purposes (referral system)

No banking data is collected directly by Embercraft.

2. Use of data

Your data is used exclusively to:

• Manage your account and your progress in the game
• Send you transactional emails (confirmation, password reset)
• Ensure the security and proper functioning of the service
• Prevent abuse and fraud, in particular the creation of multiple accounts within the referral system

Your data is never sold or transmitted to third parties for commercial purposes.

3. Data retention

Your account and all your data are automatically deleted after 60 days of inactivity, unless you enable vacation mode from your account settings.

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings → Delete my account section. Private exchanges and combat reports already delivered to other players remain in their own history; your username and links to your account are removed from them.

Your registration IP address is kept for a limited time only, solely as long as necessary to prevent referral fraud.

4. Your rights (GDPR)

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights:

• Right of access : obtain a copy of your data
• Right of rectification : correct your data
• Right to erasure : delete your account and all your data
• Right to portability : receive your data in a readable format

5. Cookies

Embercraft uses only the cookies strictly necessary for the operation of the service (authentication session). No advertising or tracking cookies are used.

6. Technical quality measurement

In order to detect and fix technical errors (crashes, display anomalies), Embercraft uses an error monitoring service provided by Sentry. Error reports are hosted on Sentry's European infrastructure (European Union).

This service is configured to collect no personal data: your IP address is not recorded and no recording of your session is made. Only an anonymous technical account identifier may be associated with an error report, in order to understand the context of the problem. These reports serve solely to improve the stability of the game.
